Leaving beauty school at 18 years old, I knew exactly what I wanted out of life, and that was to own my own beauty business. Four months into employment I thought 'Hey, I could do this on my own', so I did, and that led to the birth of 'Layla's Unisex Beauty Salon', the salon soon became very busy, which led to me taking on my sister as salon manager.
During my 8 years at the salon, I had been approached by many of my salon clients and even other salons in the area asking me to teach them in various apects of beauty therapy, I felt this is something I would enjoy doing as an expanded part of my business one day...

'I started my nail and beauty carreer at the tender age of 14, and it all started with work experience at my sisters busy unisex beauty salon.
Of course, like any little sister, I would also go in to the salon to get my nails done in the summer holidays, I just loved the salon environment, so it came to no suprise to my family that when I left school, I also wanted to work in the beauty industry.
I completed an apprectice scheme at my sisters salon and ended up working there until I was 21, the last 3 years of which I was salon manager.

I have been in this industry for almost 10 years now, and I still love it! My first Passion was nails, I was trained by CND (who else!) and then this path opened my eyes into areas of beauty that would compliment my nail services. I quickly discovered after I had trained in semi permanent lash extensions that it was my favourite service I offered, I like to think of lashes as my 'baby' of my mobile business!
